According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 75% of our health care dollars goes to treating chronic diseases. The CDC goes on to say that these persistent conditions are the leading causes of death and disability in our nation. But more importantly, these deaths and lifelong disabilities “could have been prevented.”

The CDC states that the most common chronic diseases include arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. These chronic conditions are the most costly, and yet preventable diseases of all healthcare problems in the U.S. today.

Chronic means to persist or recur for a long period of time. However, chronic also means “having a particular bad habit.” It is this definition that needs further consideration.

In the medical sense, being diagnosed with a chronic disease labels the sufferer as having an incurable illness. In this case, the irremediable opinion of a medical practitioner determines that the patient’s affliction is impossible to cure or put right. Drugs and surgery are advocated as remedial treatment, while the afflicted is left to contend with their chronic disease for the rest of their life.

The four common causes of chronic disease, defined as “modifiable health risk behaviors” by the CDC, include poor nutrition, lack of physical activity, tobacco use, and excessive alcohol consumption.

This leads us right back to the second definition of chronic—having a particular bad habit. In other words, if we were to eliminate a particular bad habit, then the chronic condition associated with that bad habit will no longer be evident.

Most Americans today understand that excessive alcohol consumption and smoking cigarettes causes cancer and other debilitating diseases. But how many people actually realize that their chronic diseases are also caused by eating junk food and being lazy?

Alcoholics and smokers are encouraged to quit their bad habits in order to regain good health. Why is it that people who eat junk food and fail to exercise are not encouraged to do the same?

That’s exactly what I did back in 1996! I quit eating junk food, I quit drinking artificially flavored drinks, and I quit taking all prescription drugs. I also eliminated the use of toxic chemicals on my body, and I quit using dangerous chemicals in our home. Once I began avoiding all toxic chemicals—in foods, personal hygiene products, and cleaning products—my body healed itself of over 100 symptoms and 35 chronic diseases. Even diagnosed heart disease simply went away.

I’m living proof that if we change “a particular bad habit that recurs over time,” our body no longer needs to suffer with chronic dis-ease. The “particular bad habit” that I removed from my lifestyle was the exposure to toxic chemicals. I eat whole, living foods that are as organic as possible. I drink pure water. I use products that are as close to nature as I can find. And I get exercise. As a result, all chronic disease disappeared and I’ve been healthy ever since.

Why do doctors just treat symptoms?  Why don’t doctors CURE disease?

These are two questions that I had to ponder during my quest to heal myself of over 35 diagnosed diseases and 100 symptoms after doctors did NOTHING to CURE my disease.  I asked doctors over and over again what was causing my diseases, but no doctor could give me a straight-shooting answer.  All I heard was a definition of my problem, which came in the form of a diagnosis, and then I was told that some body part, age, or genetics was to blame for the action.  But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that blaming some body part for failure was of NO consequence—Why did the body part fail?  THAT is the question!  After all, when body parts fail, they are a direct part of us.  That means that when something goes wrong on the inside of our body and we begin to suffer with disease, we are responsible for our own suffering.  When we choose to go against order, we create disorder.

Pathogenesis is the manner in which a disease originates.  The human body is a ordered system.  Doctors depend on its order to practice medicine.  Without order, surgery would not be effective.  The human body operates in an ordered fashion.  All of the systems within the body, such as the circulatory, endocrine, and immune systems, operate in an orderly process.  Because of this, there must be a sequential operation that causes disease to manifest.  But medical science is all about “treating” the symptom, not curing the disease.

I know some will take offense at this and immediately say that their doctor or some drug cured their disease.  But what about the hundreds of millions who suffer with heart disease, diabetes, cancer, asthma, insomnia, depression, etc.?  No doctor is curing their disease!  What about the millions of people who suffer through debilitating cancer treatments, chemo and radiation, only to find themselves stricken with cancer once again?  And what about all those who died as a direct result of receiving toxic cancer treatments?  How is this considered a cure?  It’s not…

I suffered with over 35 diseases and NONE of them were cured—not one—until I found the TRUE CAUSE, or starting point, of my disease, eliminated it, and then true healing began.  All doctors wanted to do was to treat my symptoms with drugs, which were prescribed to cover-up the truth, or  they wanted to perform surgery when the drugs didn’t work.  After all, that’s what doctors are trained to do.  To see a partial list of the many diseases that I suffered, click here.  Eventually, doctors wanted to pin yet another diagnosis to my chest—multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and Lou Gehrig’s disease were kicked around.

For disease to originate, something is being done to the body that causes the disorder to begin.  Disorder does not arrive out of nothingness—it can’t.  For disorder to occur, order must have been present at some point in time. Did you know that your body communicates with symptoms?  Each and every symptom that you suffer is a message from your body.  Its trying to tell you something!  Every time you do something wrong, in other words when you go against your ordered design, your body immediately goes into action trying to undo what has been done.  It tries to right the wrong.  And when initial symptoms are ignored or covered up with drugs, the next order of business is for the body to fall into a state of disease.  Millions of Americans are suffering with disease because they are ignoring themselves!

Modern medicine goes about blaming body parts for failing, but what it fails to disclose is that when body parts fail—we are responsible.  Some inappropriate thing done to the body results in disorder.

What are some of the disorder-causing actions that result in disease?  TOXINS—toxins cause disease.  When toxins are put into the body, they cause disorder.  Why?  TOXINS are POISON.  They cause injury or death.  Poison kills by rapid action even in small quantities.  But here’s something to know—toxins don’t always cause immediate death to the whole body, the person.  Poison may cause death to the cell.  From a cellular perspective, every organ in our body consists of cells.  That means that the death or injury, which occurs from consuming TOXINS, begins at the cell level and works its way up.

So, how is the body exposed to deadly toxins?  Junk food, drugs, and everyday products are filled with them!  Every time you eat junk food and drink artificially-flavored beverages, they are filled with toxic chemicals.  Every time you take drugs, they are filled with toxic synthetic chemicals.  Every time you use everyday household cleaning products and personal hygiene products, they are filled with poisonous chemicals.  Is it any wonder that so many people are so sick and diseased?

I cured myself, without doctors, of over 35 diagnosed diseases and 100 symptoms.  EVERY symptom and disease went away after I changed my lifestyle and eating habits.  I hope you will read my new book.

Inflammation is the key to understanding disease.  Inflammation is an attention-getter!  Inflammation is the body’s defense mechanism to ward off poison.  Your body communicates that there is a problem with inflammation.

The human body responds to any toxic substance by producing inflammation.  Many toxins are found in the processed foods that you eat and the every-day products that you use.  After ingesting poison, the body uses five fundamental methods called the Five Cardinal Signs of Inflammation to get your attention—redness, heat, swelling, pain, and loss of function.  These can be loosely defined as:

  • REDNESS = STOP what you’re doing!
  • HEAT = If you don’t STOP, you will get burned!
  • SWELLING = Look, I’m fattening up to get your attention!
  • PAIN = Maybe a little pain will get you to notice!
  • LOSS OF FUNCTION = OK, if you can’t use it, maybe this will work…

The problem is—most people ignore the signs.  Why?  Man has created a crafty way to cover up the truth.  Man’s answer to pain comes in the form of a tiny pill.  Man’s antidote to disease is to drug himself to no avail.  Keep in mind that an antidote is a medicine given to counteract a toxin, a poison.  This means that some toxin is responsible for the symptom that caused the disease.

When pills don’t work, doctors get busy performing surgery to either take out what is bad or to replace what is faulty with a new body part.  That is what doctors are trained to do, isn’t it?  To make matters worse, doctors often label your dysfunction as a psychological problem when conventional treatments don’t work.  This opens up the floodgates to all sorts of psychotherapeutic medications and behavioral therapies.  But do drugs and surgery really circumvent the problem?  Rampant ill health and obesity epidemics say otherwise.  America’s health crisis proves that Man’s ways are not working.

You’ve tried to lose weight…

It’s hard, right?  And even if you do, you end up gaining back every single pound that you lost—PLUS!  Why is this?

You’re sick, tired and depressed…  You’re filled with disease…  Your child has been labeled with a learning disability or some other serious psychological condition…
